Women's Health Specialists is a collaborative practice of a nurse practitioner, certified nurse-midwives (CNMs) and obstetricians (MDs). Our patients having normal vaginal births are given a choice whether to be cared for during pregnancy and delivery by on of our CNMs or a M.D. One of our obstetricians is always on-call in the event that a consultation or a surgical procedure is needed. Some complications or high-risk conditions require joint care by the CNMs and MDs.

The CNMs alternate on-call responsibilities, so any one of them may be your birth attendant. We therefore want you and your birth coach to get to know all of the CNMs personally and to meet each MD once during your pregnancy.
